Face the physical pain

There are persons who have a high threshold to physical pain and they succeed to resist more time to it. But, if this is not the case, try to handle your fear of and the physical pain itself by different means.

Here are some options:

  • Occupy your thoughts with positive activities

* share moments with our relatives or friends
* watch movies with positive topics
* listen to relaxing music
* enjoy a hobby, etc.

This way you avoid to have a defeatist attitude and to make yourself a slave of the physical pain and self-pity.

If you are a relative or friend of the patient with physical pain: It may help the patient to minimize the physical pains with palliatives or even sometimes a placebo. This way the mind sometimes is easy to handle physical pain. Also with distractions to other positive situations, to provoke him/her hours of sleep and rest through occupations, which of no moment have to overload the patient in a disagreeable form for him/her. Smile more often and show a healing and positive attitude. This also supports the patient to overcome the fear of pain and even to alleviate the physical pain.
