Something else we can do?Complementary therapies accompany medical treatmentsComplementary therapies are intended to restore our energetic, emotional, spiritual and physical fields. They are commonly applied as a complement to medical treatment, to strengthen the inner defences and improve the internal wellbeing. Thus we find the inner harmony, unveiling the infinite and UNCONDITIONAL LOVE in our life, removing blockades in our energy field, looking for our free energy flows. Complementary therapies help us to stop being slaves of pain, disease and fear to live a plentiful life full of happiness. Together with the disease of the body come the emotional disorders. These blockades impede to let flow our inner being and the harmony around us. We seek to heal from the inside out. An attitude of love for yourself can heal your body. In Western medicine there are many movements or specialties looking to face different diseases with a variety of treatments, hence it is not always possible to speak of true science in fighting the disease and its symptoms. This is even more valid if it includes other medicines such as the Eastern medicine or indigenous medicine in different parts of the world. Each of them has developed specific treatments for many diseases that differ from those of Western medicine. But not only they are subsumed under the term "alternative therapies", but also within the Western medicine there are therapies that leave the "common path" and could also fall under this term (We also present some alternative therapies for certain diseases and symptoms considered terminal by the Western medicine). Anyhow, we consider here complementary therapies as an additional help to the ill person that doesn’t interfere negatively or counterproductive to the medical treatment. It’s not a discussion about the prevalence of medical therapies prescribed by your doctor or specialist against alternative therapies, but we rather consider all therapy that assist in the welfare of the patient as a valuable complementary therapy. Apart from the physical symptoms of terminal illness who receive their care through their medical treatments, many "nuisance" and even more the very causes of the disease do not receive adequate attention. For this we present some complementary therapies aimed at different patient’s discomfort. As mentioned before, the majority of terminal illnesses are physical diseases caused by the mind, by wrong thinking and emotional blockades, often established long before the breakthrough of the disease. In this case it requires therapies that offer alternatives to these thoughts or blocks and replace them with a new pattern promoting a self-healing process, first on the mental level and subsequently also with the physical body. The treatment can be implemented in different steps, which in the first would be to relax the mind and seek a mental distraction. The effect arises from an occupation of the mind with activities that create a feeling of satisfaction and distract from the discomfort of the terminal illness, such as pain, anxiety and depression. In this efforts are of much help interactive games, music, books and relaxing videos suitable for such therapies. A second step in the implementation of complementary therapies is to influence the programming of the brain and the release of emotions and erroneous beliefs. For this purpose we have selected some few proved and very effective but simple therapies that can be applied by yourself or with the help of another person. They work with any type and level of the illness and are of low or no cost. |
